Minimum Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid Kentucky Class A, CDL license with a minimum of 5 years driving experience and over-the-road CDL driving experience. • Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to diverse populations and situations that arise. Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations. • Excellent organizational skills, time management, flexibility, and attention to detail. Ability to remain apprised of current industry standards and state laws and regulations. • In-depth knowledge of and ability to teach every aspect of truck driving. This is a full-time, twelve-month position reporting to the Provost’s Office. Duties/Responsibilities&nbsp; <ul><li>Perform individual career advising and coaching, especially with students in assigned College(s) on: career and values exploration, job search, career/major decision-making and goal-setting, internships and experiential opportunities, and graduate school application/admission. Provide these services to any student or alumni in the absence of other staff regardless of college affiliation. These will be primarily in person, but potentially virtual based upon the needs of the student or alumni. </li><li>Provide support and critiques to students and alumni with resume/cover letter writing, professional networking, and interviewing strategies, electronic communication, and professional social media profiles. </li><li>Remain current on job market trends and career opportunities for students and alumni of the university. </li><li>Schedule and document career advising sessions in internal systems. </li><li>Actively develop and strengthen relationships and partnerships, working closely with Department Chairs, faculty, and staff in role as office liaison to assigned College(s). </li><li>Assist students in establishing appropriate educational and behavioral objectives as they relate to employment. SUMMARY Part-time / Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in their field of expertise as it relates to the programs offered at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville, one of our extension campuses located in Winchester and Fayetteville TN., or at a specific teaching location.&nbsp;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Credential from a technical or community college, teaching experience, and work experience in the area being taught.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years of related teaching/work experience

<li>Administer/proctor tests for students and outside organizations.</li>
<li>Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with administration and Student Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Coordinate the need for supplies with the instructor and make recommendations for items needed for the program.</li>
</ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Perform student surveys each trimester.</li>
<li>Participate in regularly scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate necessary absences with VP of Operations and to coincide with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 20 hours per week.</li>
