Multiple Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Neuroscience of Aging and CNS Diseases at Indiana University-Bloomington&nbsp;As part of a major, multi-year initiative to expand research activities in the Neuroscience of Aging and CNS diseases on the IU Bloomington campus, the <a href="https://college.indiana.edu/" target="_blank">College of Arts and Sciences</a>, the&nbsp;<a href="https://publichealth.indiana.edu/" target="_blank">School of Public Health-Bloomington</a>, and the&nbsp;<a href="https://optometry.iu.edu/index.html" target="_blank">School of Optometry</a> invite applications for multiple tenure/tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate professor, and full professor rank to begin in the Fall of 2025. Appointments will be in one or more departments in the College of Arts and Sciences, including Psychological and Brain Sciences, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, within the School of Public Health, including the departments of Kinesiology and Health &amp; Wellness Design, and/or within the School of Optometry.We encourage scholars interested in aging (typical aging processes or disease-related processes) who apply interdisciplinary perspectives from a variety of domains, including neuroscience and vision science, psychology, biology, gerontology, speech, language and hearing sciences, motor control, and public health, among others. Neuroscience approaches are broadly construed,&nbsp;including single cell recording, circuit manipulations, fMRI, EEG, fNIRS, brain stimulation, retinal imaging, and psychophysics, to name a few, and may target either human or animal models of human conditions. We are interested in scholars who work at the basic, translational, and/or clinical levels of science.&nbsp;&nbsp;This cluster hire is part of a multi-year initiative that will position IU at the forefront of research on normal and pathological aging, and CNS diseases. These hires are expected to build on strong, established collaborations between researchers at the IU campus and the regional&nbsp;<a href="https://medicine.iu.edu/research-centers/alzheimers" target="_blank">Indiana Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center</a>, one of the 33 Alzheimer’s centers in the country. IU has top tier research facilities, including the <a href="https://psych.indiana.edu/research/labs-resources/imaging-research-facility.html" target="_blank">Imaging Research Facility</a>, with a research-dedicated Siemens 3-Tesla Prisma MRI scanner, state of the art bench neuroscience laboratories,&nbsp;a barrier animal facility, flow cytometry, proteomics, a drosophila center, and light microscopy facilities. IU Bloomington’s Program in Neuroscience includes more than 80 faculty from different departments whose research focuses in four core research areas: behavioral neuroscience, clinical and translational neuroscience, cognitive and computational neuroscience, and molecular and cellular neuroscience. Job summary: &nbsp;The Custodial Services Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Custodial Services Supervisor. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Facilities and Operations, the Custodial Services Supervisor organizes, directs, supervises, and manages comprehensive custodial maintenance operations on the five campuses for Jefferson spreads three counties



Job Duties:
The incumbent will maintain the best environmental conditions possible with special emphasis on safety and sanitation.&nbsp; This position will provide highly effective leadership and training and preform supervisory work involving assignment and direction of custodial employees in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms, furnishings, and equipment as well as building entrances and exterior walkways. Train new employees in proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools, electrically powered machines, cleaning compounds, solvents, and chemicals. This position is also responsible for setting work schedules for custodial staff and ensuring all preventative maintenance is met for floors and all equipment, as well as ordering supplies.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
Regularly inspects all facilities ensuring the cleanliness and safety of campus facilities for our students and employees and manages and maintains a high level of quality standards regarding all custodial services the department provides.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Assesses campus facility needs and ensures that the resources are planned for, acquired and properly implemented; provides input on utilization of resources.</li><li>Leads the campus in developing and maintaining strong relationships with alumni, community organizations, businesses and colleges/universities to maximize, partnerships, fundraising, alumni placement, new student recruitment and externship opportunities.</li><li>Maintain campus compliance with University, State, Federal and Programmatic policies and procedures.&nbsp; Plays a role with program leaders in preparing the campus for self-studies, focus visits, and comprehensive visits.&nbsp; Leads the campus in developing and nurturing relationships with regard to programmatic accreditation.</li><li>Supports institutional planning and research and outcomes assessment activities for the campus.&nbsp; Ensures discussion of research and outcomes at the campus, culminating in appropriate plans and actions. Takes an active leadership role in all departmental reviews conducted at the campus.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Experience – Minimum of seven years of highly successful experience in campus leadership roles. In addition, preference will be given to candidates that have at least two years of experience in a full-time campus director or president role. &nbsp;</li><li>Leadership- Demonstrated experience in leadership with engaging and managing teams.</li><li>Education – Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution preferred. Master’s degree required. Demonstrates ability to effectively lead faculty and staff in a doctoral degree-granting university.</li><li>Computer Skills – Experience with computerized administrative systems, including Microsoft. Skilled in the use of Excel.&nbsp; Proficient with the use of data to direct self and others.</li><li>Communication &amp; Analytical Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accreditation criteria, state agency regulations, academic journals, business reports, and legal documents.&nbsp; </li></ul>Ability to resolve inquiries and complaints, with guidance from others as appropriate, from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.&nbsp; Ability to effectively present information to faculty, academic and campus leaders, corporate leaders, public groups, and boards of directors or trustees as applicable.&nbsp; Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Ability to TravelThe individual must be able to occasionally travel out of the campus area to participate in a variety of conferences and meetings. Frequent travel will be needed related to outreach and awareness activities, or in the development of community partnerships.
