The Director of the Black/African American Cultural Center is a full-time, 12-month, Administrative Professional position reporting to the <a href="https://jobs.colostate.edu/postings/150000" target="_blank">Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Inclusive Excellence, Strategic Student Success Initiatives</a>. B/AACC&nbsp;staff is comprised of an Assistant Director, Student Success Coordinator and student staff and volunteers. The Director oversees all programs, services and operations of the cultural center, applying forward thinking leadership on behalf of the students based in awareness of current and relevant topics within the Black/African American communities on campus and in the broader society that impact&nbsp;CSU&nbsp;students. As a Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator, for a certified&nbsp;Great Place to Work,&nbsp;you will coordinate clinical learning lab facilities and services in the nursing program.&nbsp; Coordinate day to day activities and services of the nursing skills lab, including scheduling, lab set-up, supervision of student use of laboratory supplies and equipment, inventory, requisition, management, and maintenance of lab equipment and supplies, and related duties.&nbsp; Provide continuous and ongoing feedback to faculty and staff regarding the laboratory use and inventory of laboratory materials.&nbsp; Act as a liaison with the administration, faculty, and students in providing skills lab services to fulfill the needs of the nursing curriculum. Ensures policies, and procedures for the Nursing Skills Labs are administered as determined by the Campus Dean, Nursing.You will make an impact by:<ul><li>Provides assistance to students in the skills labs.&nbsp; Assists faculty on procedures related to access and use of equipment and supplies in the skills labs.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Prepares medium-fidelity simulators with moulage, realistic wounds, and other preparation per faculty requirements.&nbsp; Participates in periodic training sessions to increase competence.&nbsp;Meets with nursing instructors to review assignments, activities, and concerns.</li><li>Ensures that assigned labs are prepared according to provided schedules.&nbsp; Provides neat and orderly maintenance of assigned labs, storerooms, and prep rooms.</li><li>Provides proper care, storage, maintenance, and repair of equipment, including stored equipment.&nbsp; Schedules regular maintenance for equipment; fills out and follows through on maintenance requests.</li><li>Provides lab safety/hazardous material handling instruction; ensures appropriate local and state safety standards are met, including proper storage/disposal.</li><li>Conducts periodic lab safety/sanitation checks, with summary reports to supervisor.</li><li>Prepares and follows up on requisitions for lab supplies and equipment.&nbsp;Places orders at the direction of department chairperson or designated instructors.</li><li>Maintains accurate, current records as needed, including inventory of supplies/equipment.</li><li>Acts as a liaison between the University and supply/equipment vendors.</li><li>Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.</li></ul>Your Experience Includes:<ul><li>Minimum 2 – 3 year’s prior experience as a healthcare provider with direct patient contact, for example, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Patient Care Technologist, Certified Nurses Aide, Licensed Vocation/Practical Nurse, Medical Corpsman.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with the use of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High School degree required.</li></ul>
