Job Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to provide executive support for the Vice President of Student Affairs, and the Student Affairs staff, as we work together to meet students’ needs.&nbsp; The Student Affairs Division includes Enrollment Services (Admissions, Records, Communication Center, Entrance Testing, Recruitment, Financial Aid), Student Services (Advising, Counseling, Disability Services, &nbsp;Career Services, Veterans Services, TRIO), New Student Orientation, , site campus administration, Student Conduct, Student Life, leave reporting, event planning and room reservations, and the organization, planning and execution of the college’s graduation ceremonies (twice yearly).
Essential Functions:
40% Perform and execute administrative duties for Student Affairs. These duties include: processing payroll, including leave forms and leave reports; processing electronic purchase requisitions; scheduling meetings and events; taking minutes from meetings; tracking and refilling inventory; scanning and filing documents; responding to inquiries on the phone, via email and in person; schedule room reservations for departmental meetings/trainings/interviews, etc., process petty cash reimbursements, process travel requests, book flights and process travel claims; coordinate yearly revisions to the online college catalog,&nbsp; preparing reports and documents using Microsoft Office products; running reports in Argos; order business cards and name tabs for Student Affairs employees; order PSCC apparel for student ambassadors, process catering requests, maintain employee contact information for division. Schedule student meetings, complete background checks for the federal government.
40% Assist with complex planning and coordination to carry out special projects/events such as Graduation Ceremonies, staff retreats and other events.&nbsp; This planning and assistance includes, but is not limited to the following functions: researching potential venues and contacting venue managers to reserve facilities; processing electronic work orders for set-up; editing the event program; reserving caterers for the events; processing contract payments for venue and caterers; communicating with vendors, such as photographers, regarding event needs; organizing and training volunteers; update the website each semester , communicating via email, telephone and in person with students, family members, and faculty and staff regarding event details.
10% Communicate with students, parents, faculty and staff, and the public via telephone and email regarding college and departmental policies and procedures.
10% Facilitate large departmental mailings. Work with Marketing and Communications, and outside vendors to create and distribute communiques.

When preparing the Commencement Ceremony Program, potential errors could occur this could impact the flow of the ceremony (i.e., wrong order, students listed under the wrong majors, etc.).

Judgement &amp; Decisions: This position requires some anticipation of the needs of the Vice President.

Academically, counselors assist students with navigating the complex landscape of higher education and provide practical and emotional support to academically struggling students. Through each of these services, students are given valuable tools to help them be successful and increase the retention and graduation rates at the college. The time frame of impact ranges from immediate (crisis intervention) to long-term (retention/graduation), depending on the nature of the services offered.&nbsp; If a problem should arise, the director of counseling would be called on to assist. If further assessment is warranted, community crisis services would be contacted for consultation.
Responsibility for Accuracy: If a Counselor did not possess job knowledge and skills to help students make informed decisions about personal, social, career, or academic areas, the student could be seriously harmed as well as the College.&nbsp; A lack of knowledge of crisis intervention techniques could in extreme instances result in the death of a student.&nbsp; Not being knowledgeable of program requirements and advising a student to register for inappropriate classes or misadvising about program/majors we offer would be errors with negative consequences. A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Coordinator of Nursing along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp; In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners.&nbsp; &nbsp;The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Some travel is required.

The Career and Academic Community (CAC) Manager is responsible for implementation of the Southwest integrated academic and career advising model and the scaling, oversight and operation of the resultant Southwest Career and Academic Community program within their designated academic division. The Manager is accountable for the program’s efficacy as well as retention and persistence benchmarks established by college administration. CAC Managers play a critical role in collaborating with campus leadership; specifically, working across the student affairs and academic affairs divisions to ensure the delivery of high-quality collaborative programs and services that meet the needs of the College’s students. The CAC Managers work closely with the Director of Academic Advising and Career Services to identify best practices, inform ongoing professional development and training, manage advising technology platforms, and develop programs and processes that respond to emerging student needs. The CAC Managers collect and analyze data and maintain compliance with all applicable policies and laws.
Supervisory and Other Relationships 
CAC Managers report to the Director of Academic Advising and Career Services. They are annually evaluated by the Director in collaboration with the AVP of Enrollment Management. The position involves direct supervision and evaluation of three to five Academic Advisors / Student Success Advocates and oversight of the advising program for the designated academic division.
Job Duties

<li>Support the development of recommendations, strategies and policies related to implementing a case management advising model for the college that aligns with Guided Pathways principles.</li>

Title: Instructor of Nursing 12 Month/Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator (Term)

This position is responsible for providing guidance, instruction, and leadership to registered nursing students enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program at the assigned program sites. Teach 10-20 hours per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Collaborate with faculty in the simulation/skills lab to develop activities, program and run simulations, provide student instruction, and evaluate student performance. Maintain open lab hours with availability to students for instruction, supervision, and skills evaluation. Act as a resource and provide support and instruction for students in the skills lab requiring additional assistance. Instruction may include any relevant nursing concept or skill: Including but not limited to personal hygiene, client abuse, human sexuality, cultural diversity, ethnicity, nutrition (nursing, therapeutic aspects), pharmacology, legal, social and ethical aspects of nursing, nursing leadership and management. Develop, administer, and evaluate student performance as necessary to determine student level of performance and understanding, using evaluations to revise and update content, objectives, and instructional strategies. Coordinate student clinical placements and verify/submit student requirements in collaboration with faculty and dean of nursing. Participate in division activities associated with the instructional program. Communicate clearly with students and colleagues. Work effectively with traditional and non-traditional students including but not limited to the culturally and ethnically diverse. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and at least 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline OR a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and actively enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing program. Must be endorsed with appropriate credentials of and unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Tennessee, CPR certification for healthcare professionals, and experience in nursing practice. Minimum of three years related work experience as an RN. 
Preferred Qualifications:

Title: Testing Technician II, Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY Provides proctor services for exams and interprets placement test results. Upholds proctoring standards and rules for all tests conducted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completes annual proctor certification exams. Proctors online and conventional pen/paper tests. Interprets and implements vendor test protocols for students. Maintains surveillance of testing labs to ensure there are no violations of student guidelines. Coordinates with the Access Center accommodated testing space and proctor availability. Facilitates approved student accommodations in the Testing Center. Verifies accommodated student appointment in the AIM system. Builds appointment in Register Blast system.
Updates and maintains an appropriate manual of test procedure guidelines and passwords. Interprets placement test results for individuals and appropriate departments. Maintains security and accountability of tests. Processes, documents and reports testing irregularities and incidents to supervisors. Communicates necessary testing guidelines and information to examinees. Serves as a liaison between the Online Learning Office and the Testing Center. Collects, coordinates, and distributes web test materials to the main campus and to all College Testing Centers. Prepares detailed correspondence regarding proctoring requirements for various programs and vendors.
Provides focused customer service to students, faculty, administration and the public. Enters Accuplacer scores into the College’s Banner system. Assists with training of new employees to the department. May act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Assistant Director. Travels to other locations to proctor exams as needed. Oversees specific clerical duties. Complies College and Tennessee Board of Regents’ policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree
Two years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience proctoring academic tests
Prior experience working in a higher education environment
Customer service experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and ability to adhere to the mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Testing Center. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population of faculty, staff, students and public. Ability to evaluate situations, make decisions and work effectively as a team member. Ability to support and accept supervision. Strong computer skills, including Banner and Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to work a varied scheduled, including evenings and weekends as needed.
