      Biology Lab Adjunct (pool)
    

The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. Northwest TCAT Newbern Campus is the home campus for this position. However, officers are occasionally required to perform duties and functions at other DSCC or TCAT campuses.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Performs foot and vehicle patrols of campus to preserve the peace and enforce the rules and regulations of the college, state, federal and local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community. Local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.</li>
<li>Conducts investigations of crimes or incidents committed or occurring on campus; seeks out and questions victims, witnesses, and suspects; develops leads and tips; searches crime scenes; analyzes and evaluates evidence; arrests offenders; prepares cases for giving testimony and testifies in court and disciplinary proceedings.</li>
<li>Assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed and otherwise protects and serves. Assists with emergency planning for the campuses.&nbsp; Participates in emergency management and safety training and coordination. Conducts safety equipment checks as assigned. Maintains Tennessee P.O.ST certification by attending training as necessary.&nbsp; Attends additional training as required and needed for the college and department.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains a positive and professional rapport with local emergency response agencies representing the college and department in a professional manner.</li>
<li>Prepares and maintains various reports and records as required.</li>

QUALIFYING JOB STANDARDS

ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This detail-oriented, driven and responsive leader will oversee the execution of day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives to implement best practices. Key responsibilities will include managing the daily demands of a growing IT operation, including inputs into portfolio and project management, IT budget management, collaborative leadership of IT staff, and IT strategy, policy and communications management.
Team leaders from Technology Operations, Application Services, Client Service and Support and Media Services will report directly to the Deputy Chief Information Officer. This key IT role will serve as a liaison between these groups and the Chief of Administrative Services.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Oversee IT service management and delivery operations, including Technology Operations, Application Services, Client Service and Support, Help Desk and Media Services with the responsibility for setting expectations for and manage IT staff in the areas listed above</li>
<li>Plan and manage budgets for IT operations and drive annual operational and capital budget development with the Chief of Administrative Services</li>
<li>Recommend, develop, and advise on the drafting and socialization of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance and consistency of IT operations</li>
<li>Manage general IT communications with stakeholders</li>
<li>Advise the Chief of Administrative Services on project prioritization leveraging industry best practices on strategy and portfolio/project management</li>

Minimum Qualifications

Title: Computer Technician (2 Openings)
POSITION SUMMARY Installs, repairs and maintains campus technology across all seven of the College’s campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoots and repairs microcomputer hardware and peripherals. Plans, designs and installs new endpoint devices and software systems. Administers and maintains software deployment systems and creates images and installation packages. Reviews and resolves service tickets for campus-related requests. Responds to technical dispatch requests escalated from the service desk. Maintains an inventory of campus technology equipment, supplies, parts and stock.
Maintains an inventory of software and licensing. Works with third-party vendors to resolve technical problems when necessary. Troubleshoots network related issues and audio/visual systems. Supports and assists with technical infrastructure systems, such as electronic door access, security cameras and UPS devices. Occasionally travels throughout the service area to other campuses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma
Three (3) years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, software and network equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree
Five (5) years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, software and network equipment
CompTIA A+ certification
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, JAMF and Quest Kace SMA/SDA
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrated knowledge of microcomputers and software applications, such as Windows 10/11, macOS and Microsoft 365. Ability to read diagrams, schematics and technical manuals for repair and diagnostic information. Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, faculty, staff and peers. Ability to frequently walk, stand, stoop, crawl, climb, bend, kneel, work on elevated surfaces, work in small/confined spaces, work overhead and be in awkward positions for extended period of time. Ability to regularly push, pull, lift, move and carry 30 to 50 pounds. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support campus events and/or respond to maintenance and weather emergencies.

This is a full-time permanent position under the supervision of the assigned Custodial Supervisor. The custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas and related work as required. He/she is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend at any Southwest Tennessee Community College location as assigned. Work is reviewed and evaluated through inspection of work performed. Specific duties may vary depending on the type of facility to be cleaned. This position reports to the Macon Cove campus and typical working hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. This position may be contacted during non-duty hours.
