Job Summary
The position will be involved in technical areas ranging from maintenance of clock hour and related modifications, support of enterprise business logic, and delivery of new initiatives primarily supporting the Student and Financial Aid modules in Ellucian’s Banner ERP utilizing Multi-Entity Processing (MEP)/ STP (Shared Technology Platform). POSITION SUMMARY This position represents the college to potential students and their families, secondary schools and their respective officials, post-secondary institutions and their respective officials and the community at large. The main emphasis of this position is to build relationships with prospective Nashville State Community College students and to assist and advise them through the enrollment process, including career advising.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide student-centered service and advising to prospective students and their families regarding the college, academic offerings, career choice, admission procedures and financial aid options. This includes assisting applicants through the application, career development and financial aid process. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating all early post-secondary opportunities, recruitment activities and transition support to Nashville State. This position will work with Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) students in the New Skills Ready High Schools (Maplewood, Overton, Pearl Cohn, and Whites Creek) and other MNPS students matriculating to Nashville State.

Support increasing early postsecondary opportunities from early high school grades to Nashville State. Serve as the liaison between New Skills Ready high schools and Nashville State, developing strong relationships with the high schools. Schedules appointments, coordinates access and distributes documents to other departments across campus. Helps facilitate the resolution of student issues. Captures, reports and evaluates feedback for services provided in each student interaction. Collaborates in the evaluation of creative approaches to promote/advertise NSCC to prospective students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma
Minimum two years’ customer service experience
Proficiency in basic computer software
Excellent oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree or higher
Two years’ experience working in higher education
Multilingual, preferably in Spanish and/or Arabic
Experience with Banner
General knowledge of student services policies and procedures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Aptitude for analyzing student questions and requests. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Rate of Pay: $30,147 to $36,173 annually, depending on experience
