Job Description:Position Summary:The Director of Student Equity &amp; Compliance and Deputy Title IX Coordinator (Director) is a member of The Chicago School’s Student Success team.Founded in 1979, The Chicago School is an independent, non-profit institution with a dynamic student body and a professionally accomplished faculty. programs and services including serving as the primary point of contact for students seeking disability accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).</li></ul><ul><li>Manage cases for all students receiving disability accommodations including but not limited todeterminingaccommodations based on medical necessity and creating accommodation documentation, purchasingand managing assistive equipment and technology, andidentifying and contracting with external services.</li></ul><ul><li>Mediate accommodation-related conflicts between students and instructors as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain disability services policies, procedures, and forms, and use technology to improve services and maximize efficiency.</li></ul><ul><li>Stay up to date on trends and good practices in disability services to engage in continuous quality improvement and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Educate the school community on disability policies and procedures including offering regular training sessions, creating and maintaining FAQs, and meeting individually with constituents to answer questions on best records is strictly maintained.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>Title IX Services<ul><li>Serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, acting as a resource for students, faculty, and administration.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage all aspects of student cases under the Student Policy on Pregnancy and Related Conditions.</li></ul><ul><li>Support the coordination and delivery of university-wide education, training, and outreach programming related to Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE, Clery Act, related state laws, and other related rules and regulations.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the accuracy, currency, and relevancy of all digital and print Title IX resources.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and disseminate educational materials, both hard-copy and web-based, that inform members of the campus community of Title IX rights and responsibilities, complaint processes, and reporting obligations.</li></ul><ul><li>Represent The Chicago School to the Chicagoland Title IX Consortium and other external groups.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and submit annual reports to external agencies and entities, where required.</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and collate the training activities of the TIX team under the federal regulation and state rules.</li></ul>Compliance<ul><li>Manage school compliance efforts related to annual notifications (FERPA, consumer disclosures, etc.) and ensurethe school’s digitalcompliance notifications and resources are adequate and current.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Write and maintain the bi-annual Drug Free Schools and Communities Act report.</li></ul>Department Administration<ul><li>Use technology to modernize services for students.</li></ul><ul><li>Onboard and supervise student employees tasked with taking notes and providing other disability accommodation support to students.</li></ul><ul><li>Supervise professional staff.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the department budget including expenses related to disability accommodation.</li></ul><ul><li>Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of online content for all assigned functions on the student website, the faculty and staff intranet, The Chicago School website, and other digital platforms.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage program review for the department including identifying key performance indicators, collecting and analyzing data, reporting on findings, and using findings to improve programs and services.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Evidence of culturally competent practice and demonstrated ability to serve the needs of diverse students, especially those holding historically marginalized or underrepresented identities.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to juggle multiple competing demands and set
