Title: Student Help: Title III Peer Mentor / Coach

Job Summary
This is a part-time student position funded by Title III IDEAS Grant. Peer mentors/coaches are integrated into advising center or other campus offices, to assist professional advisors or student success coaches and faculty/staff with supporting students at Southwest. Mentors might handle referrals to campus resources, study skills coaching, or pre-registration education, which frees up professional coaches and advisors to focus on complex advising cases. Peer mentors may be “on call” for a set number of hours each week, to handle referred and walk-in students. Or, programs may require peer mentors to hold several meetings each term with students, either one-on-one or in groups.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Attend Peer Coaching training sessions</li>
<li>Engage in two HIPs (work-based learning and e-portfolio development)</li>
<li>Provide information concerning campus resources, activities, and services</li>
<li>Provide encouragement for peers to stay in college and finish their program through out-of-classroom engagement with touchpoints</li>
<li>Maintain assigned caseload of students; accurately documenting students’ stories and making appropriate referrals for academic and student support services</li>
<li>As a role model, display appropriate social behavior and skills</li>
<li>Maintain courteous, friendly, and cooperative interactions with peers and staff</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of personal information, such as contact information</li>
<li>Maintain weekly communication with assigned peers with an openness to on-call support and small group support during critical advising milestones</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Southwest Tennessee Community College Student who has completed at least 12 semester hours and GPA of 3.0</li>
<li>Student must be in good academic and behavioral standing</li>
</ul>

Job Summary
This is a full-time, grant-funded, professional position reporting to the Executive Director of Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC). The Specialist is responsible ensuring that existing and aspiring entrepreneurs realize their full potential. The Small Business Specialist is responsible for conducting extensive business development functions which include high volume of cold call appointment setting, with a focus on increasing existing business client base and developing a business and strategic plan. The Small Business Specialist should have an expansive business background, bringing the breadth and depth of their experience to bear on the problems faced by today's entrepreneurs.
Job Duties

<li>Conducts extensive business development functions with a focus on increasing existing business client base.</li>
<li>Performs advanced analytical and consultative activities on small business plan.</li>
<li>Identifies marketing strategies and target market segments.</li>
<li>Analyzes and assisting with cash flow projections.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

Title: Account Clerk 3 - Accounts Receivable

Job Summary
This is a full-time permanent, fiscal year appointment working under the general supervision of the Manager - Accounts Payable. The Accounts Receivables Clerk 3 is responsible for clerical processes relating to general accounting practices and performing related work as required. This position will bill and collect student account receivables. This position will assist in reducing bad debt expenses; turning accounts to collections; and third-party accounts. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Performs repetitive accounts payable transactions for the College, Southwest and Foundation. Prepares, reviews and processes payment requests, vouchers and Student/AR Refunds.</li>
<li>Completes check/direct deposit processes.</li>
<li>Maintains fiscal operations records management and retention processes.</li>
<li>Explains travel policies, procedures and regulations. Prepare journal vouchers related to accounts payable transactions. Composes correspondence and answers inquires related to accounts payable.</li>
<li>Oversees the process for purchase order payments and prior year encumbrances. Assist with financial activity closeouts and financial audits.</li>
<li>Provide guidance to Account Clerk II performing data entry duties.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Associates degree or higher in Accounting or finance. 
</li>
<li>Three (3) years of recent experience in accounting, auditing or finance. 
</li>
<li>Considerable experience in office work involving bookkeeping and accounting principles of which some experience should have been in a supervisory capacity is preferred. 
</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
</li>
<li>Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, database management, presentation software, and Internet usage. 
</li>
<li>Organizational skills to determine workload priorities. 
</li>
<li>A background check will be required for the successful candidate.</li>
